Directions To Camp Marshall
|
From West: Mass
Pike to Sturbridge Exit Rt 20 East in Spencer (short
distance) to Rt 31 North. Follow Rt 31 to Thompson Pond
Road. Pass The Black & White Restaurant. To foot of hill
on right
4-H sign.
From East: Mass Pike to Auburn exit, Rt 20 West
to Rt 56 into Leicester take Rt 9 West into Spencer to
Rt 31 North to Thompson Pond Road.
From North: Rt 495 to Mass Pike, follow
directions from the East, or Rt 495 to Rt 9 exit in
Worcester, follow Rt 9 west to Spencer to Rt 31 North.
From South: Rt 84/86 to Rt 20 E Charlton. Pick up
Rt 49 to Spencer, then Rt 9 East – follow directions
from west starting at Rt 9. Or Rt 395 to Rt 20 in
Auburn, Rt 20 West to Rt 56 into Leicester. Pick up Rt
9, etc. |

Class
Specs
|
Lead Line – Riders
9 yrs of age & under – leader must be 14 older.
Arab /Half Arab – Open to all ages – Reg papers
must be available
(Arabian classes are open to Full
and Half Arabians)
Green Rider – All ages, Riders 1st or 2nd Yr of
cantering at a show.
Green Horse – All ages, Horses 1st or 2nd Yr of
cantering at a show.
Open Pleasure – All ages –Open to Western,
Saddleseat, & Hunter.
Pre-Green – Walk Trot Only. Riders 15 yrs and
over – and have never cantered at a show or horses that
are not ready or able to canter.
Walk Trot – Riders 14 yrs and under – never
cantered at a show.
Walk Trot Riders/Horses May Not Enter
any Canter Classes.
Walk Trot Classes will be split if
entries warrant.
Elementary Hunter X-Rails – Open to All Riders &
Horses. May Walk,Trot or Walk, Trot, Canter over
x-rails. To show at Walk and Trot only in under saddle
class. X-rails under 18”. |

In classes
where less than 4 riders/horses compete will
receive half points. |

Rules
and Regulations
|
Exhibiting or
attending this show do so their own risk.
Exhibitors must have possession of current
coggins test, Mass horse within 2 years and out of state
12 months.
Judges decisions are final. No exhibitors or
person shall approach a judge as to a decision unless
they get permission from ringmaster.
Management has the right to combine, divide , or
cancel any class which does not fill/ 3 to fill class.
Pre-Entries must be with payment / No post dated
checks.
No Refunds will be without a veterinary or a
physicians note in the case of a rider. No refunds of
scratching a class, but may switch.
Chaps are optional for western riders.
Hunt Seat Riders under 19 yrs or age must wear an
approved hard hat while riding on the show grounds.
Management has the right to excuse unruly
horse/rider from show grounds – NO REFUND.
A Trophy and Six Ribbons in each class. Championship
and Reserve Championship in eight divisions.

For This Year
|
AHAM will be again
offering Year End Awards to our exhibitors for our Open
Fun Shows. All breeds of horses/ponies and all types of
riders are welcome! All you have to do is become a
member of AHAM and compete at our 2 open shows and HAVE
FUN!
The awards will be presented at our banquet in January
2014. |

To Be Eligible For These Awards:
|
1. Rider & Owner must be a
Paid AHAM member prior or at the first
horse show (June)
2. MUST Show and be judged in the same competing
division at
BOTH shows (June & Sept) Must be same rider/horse
combination.
